Senior leaders share their insights LIVE at HCLTech Pavilion in Davos

The pandemic; worsening geopolitical tensions; the climate crisis and the rapid increase in the cost of living have created a perfect storm of macro issues that CEOs must navigate. These flashpoints over the last 2 years have highlighted the growing trend of CEOs becoming ‘Chief Crisis Officers.’ CEOs must ensure their organisations have contingency plans in place to react to unfolding global crisis situations. This includes maintaining employee health and wellbeing during difficult times and being able to pivot operating models quickly to survive.

Leading in times of international crisis is not an easy undertaking, the decisions a CEO makes during these periods are heavily scrutinised by a much wider audience and the fallout from missteps can have long term implications. In addition, global events can place serious stress on the complex cross-border operations that underpin the global economy. Is it possible to successfully reinforce international supply chains so they can withstand these pressures? How can CEOs ensure that sudden crises don’t overshadow long term business priorities?

This panel discussion organised by the Financial Times, in partnership with HCL Technologies, will discuss what it means to be a modern day CEO and how business leaders can navigate the increasingly uncertain world we live in. This high-level event will take place on the side-lines of World Economic Forum's Annual Meeting 2022 in Davos and is the second morning briefing of this series.
